A clean sweep of control

Washing machines and dryers were just the beginning. Grandimpianti wanted to give their clients — laundromats, hotels, service providers — a way to manage entire fleets of machines across multiple locations. So we helped them make the leap from product to platform. GI Suite is the result: a cloud-based control system that turns scattered hardware into one coordinated, responsive ecosystem.

Designed with real hands, not assumptions

_______
We started where it matters: with the people who actually use the machines. In a series of workshops, we brought together Grandimpianti and their clients — from Italy, the UK, and the Netherlands — to map what control should look and feel like. The feedback was clear: keep it simple, visible, and quiet.

So that’s what we did. Machines can be grouped, moved, renamed, triggered remotely. The interface shows what matters and hides what doesn’t. A live map provides context. The tone of voice is instructional, never cold. It’s designed to let operators focus, not decode.

From data to decisions

Laundry doesn’t sleep, and neither do performance goals. GI Suite includes a full analytics dashboard where clients can track metrics like energy consumption, load volume, detergent use, and cycle distribution across machines and locations. Visual clarity comes first: targets can be set, edited, and monitored at a glance. Whether it’s a single laundromat or a multi-site operation, operators can spot inefficiencies, anticipate issues, and make evidence-based decisions. It’s smart data made simple.

One platform. Two business models.

_______
GI Suite didn’t just improve usability, it reshaped the offer. Grandimpianti can now sell licences for advanced features, giving clients more control and the company a scalable digital revenue stream. That meant UX flows had to accommodate both functionality and strategy: from upgrade prompts to access management.

No drama, just logic

_______
Visually, the interface keeps a low profile. No gloss, no distractions, just typography, spacing, and layout doing the heavy lifting. Every screen reflects Grandimpianti’s priorities: clarity, calm, and control. Interaction is fluid. The system is scalable by design.

Industrial appliances don’t usually get this kind of attention. But they should. GI Suite gives control back to the people who need it, and gives Grandimpianti a way to stay connected long after the machine is installed. That’s what we call clean design.
